Ephesians 3:14 - 20 – “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
In a recent time of prayer, the Lord spoke to me, “I am not giving you a sermon, but I am giving you a word. The word is more.” God has more for us than we realize. Ephesians 3:20 from the New Living Translation reads, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” We serve the God of more.
One of my mentors, John B. Todd often told me, “You can have all of God you want.” This does not come without a price. We must press into God and seek Him with our whole heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 says, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” The Prophet Isaiah writes in Isaiah 55:6, “Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.”
I want to encourage you to seek for a deeper walk and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Psalms 42:1-2 from the New Living Translation, “As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?” Jesus makes this promise to the seeker in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
We serve the God of more. Psalms 46:1 from the Passion Translation says, “God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble—more than enough and always available whenever I need you.” The Apostle Paul wrote these powerful words in Philippians 3:10, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” This is our prayer, “That I may know Him.”
