Change is not a Bad Word

I have been praying and thinking about the condition of the church today. We have produced a sub-culture within the culture. God never intended for the church to become a sub-culture within the culture, but we have been called to challenge and impact the culture. We have our own language, our own shops, our own television and radio stations. I don't believe that these things are bad or necessarily wrong, but I believe it is possible to isolate yourself from the culture at large. Most of our friends are our fellow Christians or churchgoers. We have Christian events, and Christian cruises, and most of us will avoid sinners at all cost. This is very different than the Church in the New Testament. Jesus went home with sinners. He was called a "friend of sinners," and a " winebibber ." I believe we have lost sight of the Great Commission. In Matthew 28: 18-20 - "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

A New Territory, A New Mantle, and New Relationships Part Two

What is God doing?   He is shaking the earth!   Hebrews 12:26 – 27 - “ 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”  Verse  27   - "Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.”   God is shaking the earth.  He is realigning the nations and preparing us for the last days.   In these last days He is doing a new thing.   Isaiah 43:19 prophesies of our day. "Behold, I do a new thing, now it shall spring forth."  This is that "now time."  In this "now time"  God is raising up His last day church to be a new breed!   This church  is going to cast off the restraints of religion and take on a new level of freedom.   Are you ready to move in a new level of freedom?   A religious spirit is a condemning spirit.   God desires His people to be liberated

A New Assignment, A New Mantle, and A New Territory - Part One

What is going on in our society? Destructive storms, political corruption, and chaos in the financial markets. What's happening? We are experiencing shaking. God is shaking the earth. Hebrews 12:26 – 27 - “Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Verse 27 - "Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain." God is shaking the financial markets. Markets all over the world have been affected by the housing problems in America. What do we do? We must not panic, because God is going to open new streams of revenue and supply in the coming days for His children. He is also shaking the nations of the earth and their governments. Why? Because He is bringing nations into alignment for His last day plans. This shaking is also occurring in the Church. To shake literally means to

The Nehemiah Strategy

Nehemiah is an inspiring Old Testament leader. God used Nehemiah to return to Jerusalem around 446 B. C., to repair and rebuild the protective walls around the city. Nehemiah was a contemporary of Ezra, who was a priest that led the second of three groups who had been captive in Babylon back to Jerusalem. In 538 BC Cyrus, who conquered Babylon, issued an edict that the Jewish people could return to Jerusalem, rebuild the city and the temple. The first was led by Zerubbabel. Upon arrival the first group starts rebuilding the temple, but opposition from the non-Jewish inhabitants discourages the people and they cease their work. God raised up two prophets to call the people to complete the task, Haggai and Zechariah. Nehemiah is called to complete the work that had been started by Zerubbabel. When the captives returned they found the city in ruins. The temple had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and the gold and silver implements had been taken as spoils of war. Zerubbabel and the early

Strategies for Entering Into the New Season of God

We have entered into a new season. God is bringing change in the New Testament Church. This is a day of new beginnings. Early this year I spoke to you about the first four months of this year and told you that I believed we would be fully in the new season in the fourth month of the year, April. This is a month of change. If we don’t go through the doors that are opening this month and embrace the relationships that God is bringing into our lives, then we may very well miss our opportunity to make the necessary shifts and changes that will enable us to move forward in the harvest that God has appointed for us to reach. Ecclesiastes 3:1 teaches that the Lord works and moves in seasons of time. To understand what He is doing you must understand the present season that we are in. What is God doing in this present season? He is rearranging things in our lives so that we can be positioned for our harvest. The farmer understands the different seasons. There is a season to sow, a season of cu

Victory Mingled with Pain

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that God works and moves in seasons. God does not move according to man’s timetable. He does not always work in the space of minutes, hours, days, and weeks. The Bible teaches us that the “times and seasons are in God’s hands." God is not bound by time, but reigns above the time and space continuum. Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” There is a time to weep, a time to rejoice, and a time to mourn. We don’t always understand the seasons that we find ourselves in. Note the words in Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “To everything there is a season.” God has a purpose in what comes into the life of the believer. The Bible teaches us in Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Recently in prayer I had the thought, “What God does is sometimes mingled with pain.” What do I mean by that statement? Often times our vi

Entering Into New Beginnings

We are entering into a new season. The New Testament Church today has entered into a new season. I believe that we have entered into a time when God is releasing His inheritance to His people. We have just finished a time of acceleration and completion. We are going to see the fulfillment of prophetic promises that we have carried for many years come to pass. Most of us have misunderstood God’s timing when those prophetic promises were released to us. God allows prophetic ministry to come to give us a glimpse of the future plans and purposes that He has for our lives. The problem is that we haven't had an understanding of the times and seasons of God. There is a season of revelation when God reveals His plans, and then there is a season of fulfillment. Prophetic ministry involves the following seasons: 1. The season of promise – this is when the revelation comes or the prophetic promise is released. 2. The season of preparation – this is where God prepares His children for the fulf
