Luke 16:19-26 – “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,   desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.    And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to

John 14:1-3 – “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if  it were  not  so,  I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am,  there  you may be also. “             Heaven is a prepared place.   It has been prepared for those who love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.   Jesus refers to it as “the Father’s house.”   In Revelation 4:1 the Apostle John receives the following invitation, “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”             What did He see?   Revelation 4:2-5 gives a glimpse of what the Apostle witnessed, “Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sa

Acts 1:9-11 – “   Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”             In John 14:2-3 Jesus makes this wonderful promise, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if  it were  not  so,   I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am,  there  you may be also.”   He promises, “I will come again and receive you to Myself.”   What a powerful promise of the Lord’s return.               In Acts 1:11 two angels make this statement, “this same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven,
