The Christ of Revelation

Revelation 1:8 The Book of Revelation is an apocalyptic book of future events. It gives us a prophetic look into the consummation of the ages.   It has been titled the Revelation of John, because the Apostle John authored this great work. In reality it should be titled, “The Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.” The first eight verses reveal the Lord Jesus Christ as the central figure of this Revelation.   Verse 1 reveals Jesus as the channel of the Word and testimony of God.   Verse 2 teaches that He is the source of blessings.   Verse 3 promises His blessings to those who hear and keep the words of this prophecy.   John continues in Verse 5 , “He is the faithful witness, the first born of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. “ He is revealed to be the source of all grace who loves and cleanses us through His shed blood.   The first eight verses are a commentary on the Lord Jesus Christ.    The verses of chapter one reveal Him as a Prophet, Priest,

He is Still Knocking

Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” The Apostle John writes this letter from the Island of Patmos. It is a small rocky island about ten miles long and six miles wide.   It is located southwest of Ephesus in the Aegean Sea.   We learn from the early church fathers that John was exiled by the Roman ruler, Domitian and forced to work in the mines that were located on the island. It was during this time of exile that the Apostle has an encounter with the resurrected Christ of Revelation.   In Revelation 1:10 the Lord commissions the Apostle John to write this revelation in a book and to send it to seven churches. In Revelation 1:12 we find the Lord in the midst of seven golden lampstands, which we learn in verse 20 are the seven churches of Revelation. These seven churches are located in Asia Minor.   They are located in the cities of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos

Suddenly, Suddenly, Suddenly

In a recent prayer time the Lord spoke the following words to me. “There is a new sound that will begin to arise out of the earth. It is the sound of the marching of angels. Just as David heard the marching of angels in the top of the Mulberry trees you will begin to hear the sound of the marching in the Mulberry trees (2 Samuel 5:24). The Lord is stirring something in the earth.    There is a new sound of worship arising.   There is a new sound of healing and a new sound of deliverance that is about to arise.   The Lord is bringing it forth out of Australia.   ‘It will come from down under,’ says the Lord.   It will come from down under and it will spread across the islands in the Pacific.   It will spread across that region and the area of Oceania.   It will then spread out to the United States and up into Canada. It will spread down into Latin America and even into South America.   The sound that is about to come forth will ignite something that has been lying do

Sukkot - Feast of Tabernacles

In the Twenty-third chapter of Leviticus the Lord spoke to Moses about establishing seven major feasts.   Leviticus 23:1-2 reads, “And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ‘ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:   ‘the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.’” The first of these seven feasts is Passover. Passover always comes in the first month of the year on the Hebrew religious calendar.   The seventh and last of the feasts comes in the fall of the year in the seventh month.   It is the Feast of Tabernacles. Although there are a total of seven feasts (the divine number for perfection or completeness in the Bible), God divided the seven festivals into three major festival seasons. Every male was to present themselves before the Lord three times in a year in each festival group.   The Jewish male would travel to Jerusalem for Passover in the spring, Pentecost at the end of spring, and the Feast of Tabernacles in th
