A New Territory, A New Mantle, and New Relationships Part Two

What is God doing?  He is shaking the earth!  Hebrews 12:26 – 27 - “26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Verse 27  - "Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.”  God is shaking the earth.  He is realigning the nations and preparing us for the last days.

In these last days He is doing a new thing.  Isaiah 43:19 prophesies of our day. "Behold, I do a new thing, now it shall spring forth."  This is that "now time."  In this "now time" God is raising up His last day church to be a new breed!  This church is going to cast off the restraints of religion and take on a new level of freedom.  Are you ready to move in a new level of freedom?  A religious spirit is a condemning spirit.  God desires His people to be liberated through the power of the Holy Spirit and learn to live in freedom, to enjoy your walk and relationship with Him, and to receive our strength through the joy that flows out of that relationship.

He is doing a new thing.  God is assigning you a new territory.  He is enlarging our sphere of authority.  Webster’s Dictionary defines a territory as the following:

1. “A geographic area belonging to or under the jurisdiction of a governmental authority.”

2.  “An assigned area.”

Our territory is linked to our assignment.  We have an assigned territory. That territory is defined by your boundaries. In Proverbs 22:28  the Bible teaches, “Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set.”  You have authority within your God ordained boundaries. We must ask God to help us to define our boundaries and allow Him to establish us within those boundaries.  Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Henry Cloud and John Townsend define boundaries in their book, “Boundaries.”

1.     Boundaries can be physical – These help us to determine who may touch us and under what circumstances.

2.     Boundaries can be mental – These give us freedom to deal with our own feelings, attitudes, beliefs, behaviors, choices, values, limits, talents, thoughts and desires.  This will allow us to disengage from the manipulative emotions of others.

3.     Boundaries can also be spiritual – These help us to distinguish God’s will from our own and give us a renewed awe for our Creator.  Spiritual boundaries also protect our beliefs and faith.

Dr. Chuck Pierce writes, “There is and will continue to be a great war over boundaries.  Individuals, people groups and entire nations will be jostling for authority through expansion of their boundaries.”  God is assigning a new territory.  That territory is a physical territory.  What God calls us to do is tied to a place, a geographical place.

In Genesis 26 Isaac had to re dig the wells that had been possessed by his father, but had been stopped up by the enemy.  He gave a name for each of the wells.  When he re dug a well that was not contested by his enemies, he named it Rehoboth, which means "the Lord has made room for us."  God is making room for you. He is bringing you into an enlarged place.

In this "now time" you must define your boundaries, because your supply will come from within those boundaries. How do we define our boundaries?  We allow the Lord to define them for us.  In Joshua 1:3  the Lord told Joshua, “Every place the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.”  In verse 4 - "1.     he gives him his boundaries, “From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.”

In   Genesis 13:14 God defined the boundaries of Abraham.  “And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: lift up your eyes now and look from the place where you are – northward, southward, eastward, and westward.”  This is the "now time" for you to allow the Lord to help you establish your boundaries.

God has a new assignment it will require a new anointing, and it will involve a new territory.  Let me encourage you to move into your new territory and to begin building for the future.

Rebuilding the Broken Altar of Prayer

In Matthew 21: 12-13 , “ Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’” Jesus made this declaration, “My house shall be called a house of prayer!”  I believe that God is calling us back to the altar of prayer.  For several weeks the Lord has dealt with me about rebuilding the broken altar of prayer in our personal and corporate lives.  If we are going to see spiritual breakthrough in our churches and communities then we must rebuild and return to the altar of prayer. Wayman Rogers writes, “The ministry of prayer is the most important of all ministries in the church.  Prayer creates the atmosphere and binds the powers of darkness so the gospel of Jesus can go forward and the church can prosper.  This is the area that

The Shout of a King is Among Them

Numbers 23:21 - “He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God  is  with him, And the shout of a King  is  among them.” In this passage of Scripture, the king of Moab had hired the prophet Balaam to speak a curse over the children of Israel.   He saw Israel as a threat to his kingdom.   Numbers 22:2-3 – “Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.” When the enemy sees the people of God rising up in faith, he becomes very concerned and moves to keep us from fulfilling our assignment.   We learn in Numbers, Balaam could only speak what the Lord gave him to speak.   Instead of a curse he speaks a blessing. The enemy seeks our destruction, but God!   Listen to the conversation between God and Satan in Job 1:8-10, “Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you conside

I Hear the Sound of Abundance of Rain

I Hear the Sound of Abundance of Rain 1 Kings 18:41-46 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”  42  So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees,  43  and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” 44  Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” 45  Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.  46  Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.        One of the most fasci
