  In   Exodus 12:2   the Lord established the Hebrew calendar.   “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.”   The Hebrew calendar begins at the Feast of Passover in the month of Nissan.  This calendar was established by God and introduced in the Scriptures.    To better understand how God moves in time you can study the Hebrew calendar and the patterns He established in His Word.  Our Gregorian calendar is on a different time cycle than the Word of God. The Bible refers to the month of Av as the fifth month counting from Passover.    It corresponds to the months of July/August on our calendar.    This year Av begins at sundown on July 14, 2026.    The Hebrew name is  Tisha B'Av , which refers to the Ninth of Av. Colossians 1:15-17 – “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” We are in a season of intense spiritual warfare. There are many people who are endeavoring to serve the Lord that have been under some type of an assault by the enemy. Bishop Tom Hamaan defines this as “an assault against your assignment.” The enemy always opposes our assignment. He attacks our identity. He wants to prevent us from knowing who we are in Christ. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He uses fear and intimidation against us.
