  Luke 4:18, “To proclaim liberty to the captives and to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”             In Luke 4:18 Jesus announces His mission. He came to bring freedom to those who are oppressed. Oppression is defined as an external pressure from the enemy against a person’s mind, emotions, body, or circumstances. Jesus delivers us from the bondage and stranglehold of sin. Sin enslaves. Romans 6:6 says, “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” Jesus breaks every chain. When He stepped into a room demons trembled. In Mark 1:23-26 Jesus sets a man free of an unclean spirit in the synagogue. Mark 1:23-26 reads, “Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, ‘Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth?   Psalms 85:4-7 – “Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease. Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?  Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.”             The Psalmist asks the question, “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Then He follows up with this prayer, “Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.” We are asking the same question, “will you not revive us again?” Will you show us Your mercy?  Many of us are praying for our families and friends to experience true salvation.             We need divine intervention.   Ephesians 5:18 - Be not drunk with wine where is excess, but be filled with the Spirit.” I still believe that we are to be a Spirit-filled people. I am not ashamed to be a Spirit-filled believer. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” The Holy Spirit empowers the believer to live an overcoming life. The infilling of the Holy Spirit will give you power to live a holy, separated life. We need to experience an infilling or be refilled with the Holy Spirit until we are changed into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we no longer fear the devil.   I Still Believe Jude 3 – “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”              Jude, the half-brother of Jesus writes to encourage us to “contend for the faith.” The faith encompasses Christianity as a whole. “To contend for the faith is to defend the faith with all your strength, and both by true doctrine and good example of life.” David Guzik in his commentary on Jude defines the faith, “The faith” doesn’t mean our own personal belief, or faith in the sense of our trust in God. I also took the train to Gatwick Airport to fly to Scotland for a ministry appointment. We utilized the London underground for most of our travel across the city. On each of the trains we heard the following announcement at each station. “If you see something that doesn’t feel right, speak to staff or text the British Transport Police, we will sort it. See it, Say it, Sorted.” This is the British safety campaign to help keep the travelers safe on the trains.               “See it, Say it, Sorted.” Faith ...

We utilized the London underground for most of our travel across the city. On each of the trains we heard the following announcement at each station. “If you see something that doesn’t feel right, speak to staff or text the British Transport Police, we will sort it.
