See it, Say it, Sorted Part Three - The Victory of Faith

Hebrews 12:2 – “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”             On a recent trip to the United Kingdom, we took trains to and from London to Norwich and Wales. I also took the train to Gatwick Airport to fly to Scotland for a ministry appointment. We utilized the London underground for most of our travel across the city. On each of the trains we heard the following announcement at each station. “If you see something that doesn’t feel right, speak to staff or text the British Transport Police, we will sort it. See it, Say it, Sorted.” This is the British safety campaign to help keep the travelers safe on the trains.               “See it, Say it, Sorted.” Faith ...

The Blessed Life is a Victorious Life

When we come to Christ we enter into a victorious life. We don’t have to obtain victory, but we already have everything we need to live a victorious life. Victories come at great costs. Jesus paid for our victory on the cross. Colossians 2:14-15 says, “having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. Jesus went to the cross to make a way for us to live in complete victory over sin. Romans 5:6 says, “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”      ...

Victory Mingled with Pain

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that God works and moves in seasons. God does not move according to man’s timetable. He does not always work in the space of minutes, hours, days, and weeks. The Bible teaches us that the “times and seasons are in God’s hands." God is not bound by time, but reigns above the time and space continuum. Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” There is a time to weep, a time to rejoice, and a time to mourn. We don’t always understand the seasons that we find ourselves in. Note the words in Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “To everything there is a season.” God has a purpose in what comes into the life of the believer. The Bible teaches us in Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Recently in prayer I had the thought, “What God does is sometimes mingled with pain.” What do I mean by that statement? Often times our vi...
