Romans 12:1-2 – “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
The power of transformation is the Holy Spirit working in and through His covenant people. Acts 1:8 says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” He is positioning you for divine impact. If we are going to experience God’s best and realize our destiny in Christ, we must experience transformation.
To make an impact we must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 says, “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit.” Divine impact only comes through a partnership with the Holy Spirit. This is what transpired on the Day of Pentecost.
Peter, who is now filled with the Spirit rises with the eleven and preaches a transformational message. This message is recorded in Acts 2:14-21, “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”
God has a plan for your life. He plans to use you to be part of reaping the last day harvest. Some of you have tried to run away from the call of God. Some will say, “I am not qualified.” That’s the purpose of transformation. To position you to take your place in the Body of Christ.
There are people you are called to reach. There are people you are called to minister to and pray with. What is the power of transformation? The Holy Spirit.
