Matthew 6:10 – “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
We are entering into a kingdom reset. We are experiencing a paradigm shift. In Luke 12:32 Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Reset is defined as “to set again, or to set, adjust, or fix in a new or different way.” When we reset our computers or smartphones it is to restore them to their factory settings. God is resetting the church to restore us to our original purpose.
God is restoring us to pure worship. He is calling us back to His original blueprint in Matthew 21:13, a house of prayer. Many things around us are changing. There will be no going back to what we have known as normal. Things are going to be very different.
How do we navigate these changes? At the beginning of 2020 I wrote the following words:
“We are entering into a new kingdom era. We are in unchartered territory. We have marched off the map. We are in a pivotal year for our nation. How do we enter into this new year? We enter this new era in the fear of God and on our knees in prayer.”
James 5:16 says, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
We will experience reset when we slow down and listen to the Holy Spirit. Joshua 3:4 says, “Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”
How do we navigate these changes? How do we overcome the fear and heaviness of our day? We must have our strength renewed. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” The Psalmist wrote in Psalms 16:11, “In Your presence is fullness of joy.” As we spend time in His presence we experience a renewed joy."
Isaiah 40:31 offers encouragement to the weary, “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” We do not have to be fearful of these troublesome times, because we have the promises of God to guide us and the power of the Holy Spirit to empower us.
