Proverbs 6:2 – “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
We must learn how to speak the Word of God in faith over every circumstance we face. What does the Word of God say about your circumstances? We learn in Psalms 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” We are not to be outspoken in a rude way, but about the things of God. The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the church at Rome in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
We must be careful not to come in agreement with the enemy with our words. Psalms 23:4 says, “I will fear no evil, for you are with me Lord, Your Word and Your Spirit comfort me.” The writer of Proverbs gives these instructions in Proverbs 21:23, “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.”
Our testimony is a declaration of faith. The first part of Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” A testimony is more than just a story of what God has done in the past. The Bible is a faith-filled book of hope. Our testimony should be a declaration of the Word of God. It is also a present declaration of future deliverance. Make your confession the Word of the living God over your problems, attacks, and issues. Psalms 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”
We learn in our study of Scripture that life and death are in the power of your tongue. 1 Peter 3:10 says, “For He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.” We must be bold in our words, and in our witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.
