Bold Faith

Proverbs 28:1 – “The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.”

The early New Testament church faced persecution, prison, and even martyrdom.  How did the church respond to these threats?  They were a people who were bold in the things of God.  Listen to their response to persecution in Acts 4:29, “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word.”

You are called to be bold in the things of God.  It is the power of the Holy Spirit Who empowers you to be bold in the things of God. One of the benefits of being filled with the Holy Spirit is to be empowered to be a bold effective witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is time to be bold in your faith.  Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

We must learn to boldly declare the Word of God over every circumstance you are facing.
·      Do you need healing?  1 Peter 2:24 – “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
·      Do you need deliverance from fear, anxiety, and stress? Romans 16:20 – “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”
·      Do you need financial breakthrough? Philippians 4:13“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
·      Do you need spiritual renewal or refreshing? Psalms 42:7-8 – “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me—A prayer to the God of my life.”

The righteous are as bold as a lion.  Hebrews 4:16 teaches, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
