Outspoken Faith


Proverbs 6:2 – “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

We must learn how to speak the Word of God in faith over every circumstance we face.  What does the Word of God say about your circumstances?  We learn in Psalms 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  We are not to be outspoken in a rude way, but about the things of God.  The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the church at Rome in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

We must be careful not to come in agreement with the enemy with our words.  Psalms 23:4 says, “I will fear no evil, for you are with me Lord, Your Word and Your Spirit comfort me.”  The writer of Proverbs gives these instructions in Proverbs 21:23, “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.”

Our testimony is a declaration of faith.  The first part of Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” A testimony is more than just a story of what God has done in the past.  The Bible is a faith filled book of hope.  Our testimony should be a declaration of the Word of God. It is also a present declaration of future deliverance. Make your confession the Word of the living God over your problems, attacks, and issues.  Psalms 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”

We learn in our study of Scripture that life and death are in the power of your tongue. 1 Peter 3:10 says, “For He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.”  We must be bold in our words, and in our witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Shout of a King is Among Them

Numbers 23:21 - “He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God  is  with him, And the shout of a King  is  among them.” In this passage of Scripture, the king of Moab had hired the prophet Balaam to speak a curse over the children of Israel.   He saw Israel as a threat to his kingdom.   Numbers 22:2-3 – “Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.” When the enemy sees the people of God rising up in faith, he becomes very concerned and moves to keep us from fulfilling our assignment.   We learn in Numbers, Balaam could only speak what the Lord gave him to speak.   Instead of a curse he speaks a blessing. --> The Fifth Month – Av The Month to Hear For a number of years I have been studying and praying for insight into how the Lord moves and works in time. We learn in 1 Chronicles 12:32 that the Sons of Issachar had an understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do.  They were masters of the Hebrew calendar.   In Exodus 12:2 the Lord established the Hebrew calendar. “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” The Hebrew calendar begins at Passover in the month of Nissan.  This calendar was God ordained and introduced in the Bible.   To better understand how God moves in times you can study the Hebrew calendar and the patterns that have been established in the Word of God.  Our Gregorian calendar is on a different time cycle than the Word of God.
