Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is a powerful tool in the arsenal of the believer. In Mark 5, Jairus, a ruler of the Synagogue came to Jesus about his daughter who was very sick and at the point of death. As He made His way to the house of Jairus there was a woman with an issue of blood who touched the hem of His garment and was made whole. Mark 5:35 says, “While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, ‘Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?’” In verse 36 Jesus says to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Using the word faith as an acrostic, we can learn how to activate our faith. 1.
