Philippians
3:20-21 – “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we
also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will
transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according
to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”
Some
years ago the Lanny Wolfe Trio sang a song, Shout
it Jesus Coming. The chorus says, “Come
on and shout it from the mountain tops, proclaim it in the busy streets, tell
everybody you know tell everybody you meet. Shout it Jesus is coming, Jesus is
coming, yes, He's coming let the whole world know that Jesus is coming soon,
very soon.”
We must
shout it to the world, Jesus is coming. Luke
14:34-36 says, “I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be
taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together:
the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the
one will be taken and the other left.”
We must
be rapture ready. Matthew 24:14 says, “Therefore
you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Where are we on God’s prophetic time clock?
We are near to the second of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The
Apostle Paul writes in I Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord Himself will
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the
trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord
in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
The
Second Coming of our Lord is found throughout the Scriptures. John 14:2-3 says,
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be
also.” Shout it out to the world, Jesus
is coming. Proclaim it to everyone you
meet, Jesus is coming. His coming is
very near, even at the door. 1 Peter 1:7
reads, “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful
in your prayers.”
