Hebrews 1:14 - “Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” NLT             The subject of angels is a fascinating study in the Word of God.   When God initiates a new day or new order there will be angelic activity. One sign of revival and restoration are testimonies of angelic activity.   God uses angels to carry out His plans on the earth. Martin Luther writes, “An angel is a spiritual creature created by God without a body, for the service of Christendom and of the church.” [i]               Angels are divine messengers. Isaiah 9:6 – “ For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” The Prophet Isaiah is referred to as “The Messianic Prophet.” He recorded many prophetic promises concerning the coming Messiah.   It is Isaiah who writes, “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold, the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).   He writes prophetically of His mission, His rejection by His own people, His sacrificial suffering, and His kingdom.   He reveals His name shall be called Wonderful.
