Entering Into New Beginnings

We are entering into a new season. The New Testament Church today has entered into a new season. I believe that we have entered into a time when God is releasing His inheritance to His people. We have just finished a time of acceleration and completion.

We are going to see the fulfillment of prophetic promises that we have carried for many years come to pass. Most of us have misunderstood God’s timing when those prophetic promises were released to us. God allows prophetic ministry to come to give us a glimpse of the future plans and purposes that He has for our lives. The problem is that we haven't had an understanding of the times and seasons of God. There is a season of revelation when God reveals His plans, and then there is a season of fulfillment. Prophetic ministry involves the following seasons:

1. The season of promise – this is when the revelation comes or the prophetic promise is released.
2. The season of preparation – this is where God prepares His children for the fulfillment of the promise.
3. The season of positioning – this is when we discern that the answer is near and we take the posture of faith in order to receive the fulfillment of the promise.

In this new season the church is entering into a time when we are going to see many of the promises of God come to fulfillment in our lives and ministries. You see God moves and works in seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 reveals that God works in seasons. There are 28 different seasons listed in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. How long is a season? Only God can determine the length of a season. I believe that our willingness to submit to the Holy Spirit and learn the lessons of the seasons that we are in sometimes determines the length of that particular season in our lives.

The spiritual seasons correspond to the natural seasons. We have four natural seasons – winter, spring, summer, and fall. I believe that God brings us through each of these four seasons in our spiritual walk and journey. Each of the 4 seasons has a specific purpose in our lives.


1. Spring is a time to plant – a time of renewal.
2. Summer is a time to grow – a time to cultivate and prepare for the greater harvest that comes in the fall of the year.
3. Fall is a time of harvest – a time of change. It is also transitional from the hot summer season to the cool winter season.
4. Winter is a dormant season – it is a time when the nutrients are returned to the earth. Death prepares the ground to produce new life. In the past season God has been bringing death to some old ways and habits. He has been doing a work of completion in preparation for the new season.

How do we enter into a new season? We prepare ourselves spiritually and then position ourselves to enter into what God is doing. We must develop a hearing ear and discipline ourselves to hear the voice of God.

I believe that winter is also a time for contemplation, a time to slow down and let what we have learned during the spring and summer be assimilated and leave us ready for the input of the coming spring and summer.

The Shout of a King is Among Them

Numbers 23:21 - “He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God  is  with him, And the shout of a King  is  among them.” In this passage of Scripture, the king of Moab had hired the prophet Balaam to speak a curse over the children of Israel.   He saw Israel as a threat to his kingdom.   Numbers 22:2-3 – “Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.” When the enemy sees the people of God rising up in faith, he becomes very concerned and moves to keep us from fulfilling our assignment.   We learn in Numbers, Balaam could only speak what the Lord gave him to speak.   Instead of a curse he speaks a blessing. --> The Fifth Month – Av The Month to Hear For a number of years I have been studying and praying for insight into how the Lord moves and works in time. We learn in 1 Chronicles 12:32 that the Sons of Issachar had an understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do.  They were masters of the Hebrew calendar.   In Exodus 12:2 the Lord established the Hebrew calendar. “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” The Hebrew calendar begins at Passover in the month of Nissan.  This calendar was God ordained and introduced in the Bible.   To better understand how God moves in times you can study the Hebrew calendar and the patterns that have been established in the Word of God.  Our Gregorian calendar is on a different time cycle than the Word of God.
