See it, Say it, Sorted - The Vision of Faith

Psalms 119:18 – “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.” On a recent trip to the United Kingdom, we took trains to and from London to Norwich and Wales. I also took the train to Gatwick Airport to fly to Scotland for a ministry appointment. We utilized the London underground for most of our travel across the city. On each of the trains we heard the following announcement at each station. “If you see something that doesn’t feel right, speak to staff or text the British Transport Police, we will sort it. See it, Say it, Sorted.” This is the British safety campaign to help keep the travelers safe on the trains.  The details of the campaign are as follows:  ·        We’re asking rail passengers and people who use railway stations to help keep themselves and others safe by reporting unusual items or activity on the railway. ·        We’ve all got a role to play in keeping the rail netw...

I AM Personal

Exodus 3:13-14 – “Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God created the heavens and the earth. He hung the stars in the sky, and He set the earth in its orbit around the sun. Hebrews 11:3 says, By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” He created man in His own image and likeness. He met with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in the cool of the day. He is powerful but He is also personal. The God who commands angels and administrates the affairs of His vast creation has the ability to hear each of us personally when we pray and answer those very prayers. Jeremiah 29:12 says, “then you will ca...

I AM Powerful

Ephesians 3:20 - " Now  to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly  above all that we ask or think,  according to the power that works in us."                     In Exodus 3:9-10 God has a conversation with Moses at Horeb, the mountain of God. He speaks to Him through a burning bush. The conversation is recorded in Exodus 3:9-10 the Lord shares His purpose with meeting with Moses on this mountain. Let’s join the conversation in verses 9-10, “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” God hears the cries of His covenant people. He hears our cries today. He saw the oppression of the enemy against His people. He sees the oppression we experience from the enemy of our souls. He encou...

I AM Present

Psalms 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”             In Exodus 3 Moses witnesses a burning bush on Horeb, the mountain of God. The bush is on fire, but it didn’t burn up. The Angel of the Lord calls out to Moses from the midst of the bush. He reveals Himself as the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” He then commissions Moses to go and bring His children out of Egyptian bondage and lead them into the Promised Land, which was their covenant inheritance.              In Exodus 3:10 Moses said to the Lord, “Who am I that I should go and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” We are no different than Moses. When God asks us to do something we find excuses and remind the Lord of our own inadequacies. In Exodus 3:12 the Lord makes this promise, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you...
