1 Peter 1:18-19 – “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things,  like  silver or gold, from your aimless conduct  received  by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”  The Bible introduces us to the miraculous power of God. There are numerous inexplicable miracles recorded on the pages of the Old and New Testament. We witness the miracle of creation in the very first verses of the first book of the Bible.   Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” There are miracles of nature, healing, deliverance, and provision. Jesus performed many miracles.   He opened blinded eyes, made the lame to walk, healed the sick, and raised the dead. We serve a miracle working God. Psalms 103:1 – 2 - “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me,  bless  His holy name!   Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”             One of the great benefits to the believer is the knowledge of having your sins forgiven.   The Psalmist writes in Psalms 103:3, “Who forgives all your iniquities.” The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans declares, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12). The Psalmist defines our sinful condition in Psalms 51:5, “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.”             We need forgiveness because we are sinners, and our sin has alienated us from God (Ephesians 4:18).   Ray Pritchard writes in his book, The Healing Power of ...

Acts 2:2 – “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”             There is a fresh new wind from heaven blowing on the Body of Christ today. This wind is the wind of revival. After Jesus ascended to heaven there were 120 who gathered in an upper room in Jerusalem.   They were praying and waiting on the promise of the Father.   Jesus had instructed the disciples in Luke 24:49, “ Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”             Throughout the Bible wind is figuratively used to represent the Holy Spirit.
