John 20:19 – “Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” John the beloved disciple records the words of Jesus in one of His post resurrection appearances. In this chapter Jesus finds His disciples in hiding behind locked doors.   They are bewildered and filled with fear.   Verse 19 in the New Living Translation reads, “That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Most would agree that we are living in what the New Testament calls the last days.   Over the years I have heard numerous messages and read materials about the end times, Biblical prophecy, and the last days. Very often when we are teaching on matters concerning the end time we tend to view it only in negative terms.   The truth is that these are wonderful days to be alive. Why are these exciting days?   We have been chosen to be part of the climax of prophecy and perhaps be the generation that witnesses the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. How are we to live and conduct ourselves in light of the coming of the Lord?   The Bible instructs us in Luke 19:13 that we are to “Occupy till He comes.”   Our responsibility in these last days is to infuse the world around us with salt and light.   Matthew 5:14 gives very clear insight into this mission.   “You are the light of the world.   A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” We are livi...

I Am Willing, Be Cleansed” Matthew 8:1-3 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.  2  And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3  Then Jesus put out  His  hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”             Leprosy is very debilitating disease.   Those suffering from leprosy experience disfigurement of the skins and bones.   Tumor like growths may appear on the skin and in the respiratory tract, and cause a deterioration of the optic nerve.                 In Leviticus 13:45-46 – ““Now the leper on whom the sore  is , his clothes shall be torn and his head bare; and he shall cover his mustache, and cry, ‘Unclean!           There is great debate in the Body of Christ today concerning the operation of the gifts of the Spirit.  Did the operation of the gifts cease with the death of the last Apostle?  Were signs and wonders, miracles and manifestations of the Spirit only for a season?  Does God still heal those who are sick and suffering today?  I believe that the Bible answers these question in Hebrews 13:8. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”           There are many that believe that God is able to bring healing to those who are suffering.  Most believe that God is able, but the question that is often asked; “Is it God’s will to heal?” I believe that the answers for this and for all questions that we may have about healing are to be found in the pages of the Scriptures.             The New Testament Gospels give us a glimpse into the heart of the Lord Jesus ...
