What's My Purpose?

Have you ever asked the question, “What is the purpose for my life?” Do you know why you were born and why you exist? There are numbers of people throughout the world that go through life without ever really finding or understanding their purpose. They eat, sleep, and just try to survive. Hopefully they will be able to please the god they worship enough that they will go to heaven or some paradise when they die. The Bible teaches that life has greater meaning than just eating, sleeping, and hopefully discovering after we die if there is an afterlife. In Genesis 1:26 we learn that humanity was made in the image and likeness of God." The Bible reveals that we were created to worship and to have fellowship with a living God, but a sad set of circumstances prevailed. The Truth that Liberates

In Second Timothy 3:1-5 the Apostle Paul wrote to his young son in the faith, Timothy. The words in these verses prophetically read like the headlines in the news today.   Verse 1 reads, “ But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.”   Most would agree that we are living in what the Apostle Paul defines as perilous or dangerous times.   Our society is filled with violence and stress.   In Matthew 24:6 we have words of Jesus, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things  must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Jesus reveals in Luke 21:26 that these days would be characterized by “Men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” How do we address these times?   How do we cope with the stress of the days we are living in?   We must have a word from the very throne of God.   We need truth that wi
